OIC Rental Assistance Program ending for ALL rent, deposit, and hotel requests,

The LAST DAY FOR 

RENTAL APPLICATIONS DISTRUBUTION is

FRIDAY, May 24, 2024.

 

Dear Clark County/Springfield Landlords,
OIC will no longer be providing the rental assistance program to landlords and tenants due to the ending of the American Rescue Plan Act funding.

Any applications that have been submitted, will be processed provided that all the required information has been properly submitted and received. 

Applications that have NOT BEEN COMPLETED 

will have until Monday, June 5, 2024 @ 3:00 PM to provide documents for completion.


Thank you for helping those individuals and families utilize this service. Please know we have taken every step necessary to continue this service, but local governments do not have the funding resources.

Am I Eligible?

The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA2) provides for necessary expenditures for households with a combined household income for all household members age 18 and over that is at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI)* AND:

  • Are experiencing a financial hardship due directly or indirectly to the pandemic, 
  • Have experienced a reduction in household income or qualified for unemployment benefits, AND
  • Are behind on rent, pending eviction, or are experiencing homelessness.

* Income eligibility will be determined during the application process and calculated using the most recent (30 day) income documentation. 

How to Apply

  1. Households requesting assistance must thoroughly complete an application and submit required documents. Paper applications and supporting documents are available at the HEAP & Rental Assistance drive-thru only.  
  2. Landlords must complete the Landlord Verification Packet and provide required documents and W9 Form.
  3. Submit all applications (Household and Landlord Verification) and documentation by dropping them off at the HEAP & Rental Assistance drive-thru located at 600 W. Main St. (see location and directions below).  
  4. Once all documentation is received, a Rental Assistance Representative will call you to begin processing your application. Applications ware processed in the order they are received.
